- Las week I purchased a new USR Courier PCMCIA modem from NECX. When I
- installed the modem in my TI 5000 laptop Widows95 recognized the modem ut
- when I tried to use it I received a message that the modem was not
- detecting a dial tone. I fooled around with it for a few days and finally
- on Monday of thei week (Feb. 13, 1996) I called USR tech support. The
- whole process of getting through to tech support and identifying the
- problem took no longer than temn minutes. It turned out that the modem
- was defective and had to be replaced. I FedX'd the modem to USR on Tueday
- and my new modem arrived at my home today (Friday).
- I have seen a lot of postings about poor service from USR in this group
- but you sure can't prove it by me. I was very favorably impressed with
- the service that I received.
